Slalom down the mountain

Watching the Winter Olympics makes me think of assignment writing!

Have you set off, with great enthusiasm, going at breakneck speed, understanding the technical aspects to writing an essay... but falling foul of the slalem warning posts just before the last gate to the finish. I have just watched 3 experts manage to fall. They're out.
Covid19 keeps sweeping people before it; students, teaching staff are often suffering - more than last year's set. What if you are being stymied and time is passing, deadlines creeping nearer and nearer?
Fear can be countered by faith! Faithfulness to the long haul! That commitment you made to the course, a financial and time commitment; that commitment that took you away from delights of family, of regular income perhaps; Do you recall? Three years for a BA did not seem that much and yet it can seem like forever. A doctorate, part time, can be 6 whole years! Keeping your motivation going is key; a key skill in self-motivation is self-discipline to research, to write, and write again, and research further, to critique and work on the information gleaned. Every week, every day, write something. Make a note of what a book says. Discover another article to determine the argument and add it to your argument. Each aspect is another slalom marker.

Just don't over do the risk taking. Instead, get a coach to get down the mountain safely. I am offering my services to you. I can help you work on the topic, work on the structure, work on the argument, work on the conclusions. I can help you proofread your own work and explain the grammar you may need to work on.
